For the month of February, we will be running a Warbands escalation league (find the rules here). Note that the escalation information and material stops on page 12 of the document, and all information on pages 13-23 should be disregarded, as this is a separate type of Warbands league. Scorecards will be provided to players on the first Wednesday of February at the Pit.
Each Wednesday in February we will use the following escalation format:
Week 1: 200 pts
Week 2: 300 pts
Week 3: 400 pts
Week 4: 500 pts
Players may play as many games as they like, accruing league points. There will be no schedule of play, other than the escalation limit shown. Players may not play the same opponent twice in a row, and should follow the "Little War" scenario and set-up as shown in the Warbands document. Players should follow the scoring details and bonus army point details as listed in the Warbands document and keep track of all games played with victory conditions.
The two players at the end of the 4th week with the highest scores will play for Warbands champion title.

Here we go, the Fantasy League details as they are right now. Some minor changes may be announced as we get closer to the start date, but this is it in a nutshell. The start date will be shortly after Games Day, May 9th.
See this thread for sign-up.
TIME FRAME - 7 WEEKS
- Week 1: 1,000 points
- Weeks 2-3: 1,500 points
- Weeks 4-5: 2,000 points
- Weeks 6-7: 2,150 points
GAME SCHEDULING
- Random pairings for Week 1.
- After Week 1, pairings based on W/L/D record, similar to tournaments.
- Assigned two games to play over the two week periods, can play in any order.
- If someone is unavailable over the two weeks, you can get a game against anyone else in the league to cover the schedule. The person who gives you the second game gets 25 bonus points in their next game (points are for one game only, and they don't stack).
- Lists are free to change when point levels do, but otherwise must stay the same. This means you can change your list completely between 1,500 points and 2,000 points, but both games at 2,000 points use the same list.
PAINTING
- You can check in unit(s) for the painting competition now - see Nayef for details. This will allow for people to get started well in advance for the slower painters.
- Units must have no paint on them (primer is okay, and judge's discretion to allow partially painted models).
- Check-in at the appropriate Mega Battle to determine best painted units.
- Players vote on overall best painted at the end.
MEGA-BATTLES
- There will be 2 Mega Battles that will serve as the painting check in time. Dates.
- MB-1: Any core choice, taking place on June 2nd. MB-2: Any core, special, or rare, taking place on June 23rd.
- Winner of Mega Battle and also of the painting competition each win a free blister.
OVERALL WINNERS
- Prizes for overall Best Painted and Best Record: Regiment box.
- In the event of a tie for best record, there will be a tie-breaker game between the top players.
END OF LEAGUE
- Depending on the participation at the end, there will be one of two events at the end of the league: A mini-tournament or a larger mega battle.
- More information about this event will be decided once the league is under way.
PAINTING NOTES
- You do not necessarily need to play the units you enter into the painting competition - they don't even need to be of the same army race. Any units can be entered there.
- The army you play in the league can already be fully painted - we encourage anyone interested to join.
- In order to win the Overall Best Painted, the majority of your army needs to have been unpainted during check-in (which can be now through league starting).
COST
- Paid members get free entry into the league.
- Non-paid members will have a $5 entrance fee.
